There’s a lot going on in November and some powerful
energies at play from what I can see. We
have two of the three planetary oppositions which give Human Design (HD) channels
this month thereby giving everyone access to these ‘superpowers’, as I like to
think of them!
The 43-23, sometimes known as the ‘freak to genius’ channel –
all about insights and letting things fall away, and the archetype of the
manifesting generator, the 34-20. The
latter in particular can be super-charged harnessing a direct link between
sacral work energy and manifestation at the throat, very much an action in the
now, busy, busy energy.
Last month I noted that Freya was spending time in gate 49,
the gate of revolution. She is a Norse
Goddess credited by some for bringing magic to the Gods at Asgard and linked
with Odin and the Runes. This is a
powerful feminine energy and we saw yet another potential (alleged) abuse of
power uncovered toward the end of the October.
Freya will be in this gate for all of November too and may well
combine with some other influential feminine Goddesses giving us all access to the
strong female. Frigga, the All Mother (and
Odin’s wife) has been aligned with Saturn in 58 and moves on the 8th
to 38, the Fighter, and then joins Pluto in 54 on 25th. An interesting journey for her - from joy through
correction and practice under Saturn’s corrective watch, to fighting the good
cause and on to the soul destiny aspects of Pluto within the energy of the ‘upgrade’
in 54, the Marrying Maiden. 54 you may
recall is all about biding your time and working your way up the hierarchy taking
others along with you.
Vesta starts the month with Pluto, so another Goddess energy
in 54. She’s about sexual sovereignty and
what is sacred to you. Pallas will also
play her part in a dance with Saturn when she spends time in gate 18, correction/practice,
from the middle of the month, joining Lilith who will be resident there from
the 9th. Pallas is a warrior
goddess in many ways and a similar energy to Freya I feel. Of course Lilith is the angry lady not happy
to be told what position to take! So, a lot
of fire-power in the channel of correction, overseen by the ultimate correcting
energy of Saturn of course.
However, I feel this month may also give the opportunity for
everyone to work toward rebalancing and tapping into a positive masculine
energy which seems to have been sorely missing over the last year. Odin will be very at home in 48 from the
beginning of the month. This is the gate
of the Well in the I Ching, it’s about the deep dive and the drawing of fresh
water. Odin of course received the Runes
having been suspended over the well at Yggdrasil. With his detailed dive he then moves to 57
and the gate of intuitive knowing so a wonderful chance this month to shine a
light on the positive masculine within all of us. Isis who is all about the missing piece moves
to 59 (penetrating, seeking, male) on the 23rd so here’s hoping for
some progress in finding that missing positive masculine.
Venus can play her part this month too as she moves through
the gate of values, and perseverance and then back to values. And Nessus (ancestral abuse of power) will be in 37.1 all month. 37 is the community, the family, and in line

succeed. If we give in to the tantrums
of the ego, there is misfortune. We
prosper when we meet others half way – no more, no less.
Movers this month include Chiron who moves back into gate 36
on the 11th. Another boost
hopefully for finding and nurturing that inner light, and perhaps with the
other energies at work this may help to bring forward the rather battered
masculine for healing. We could well be presented
with a crossroad /choice point as Hekate moves to 6 half way through the month,
the gate of conflict (and conflict resolution) – this is directly opposite
Chiron in 36 so potentially presents a challenge and a shake-up and also plays
with Mercury’s path this month as you will see!
Opportunities here then to make conscious choices about conflicts, and
resolving them, and that may be within the self as well as with others,
especially as Chiron is currently in retrograde.
And, if all that wasn’t enough we have the final Mercury
retrograde of the year (all things communications and being in the world). This time he stations right over the Great Attractor
at 5.3. This is a fixed point in space
and time, a choice point, where you can see in all directions, the past, the
future. It can have the potential for madness and requires you to focus on one
aspect. We are now just into the shadow
of this station as Mercury starts to slow and turn on the 17th.
BBW 5 line 3 – there is a danger of being swayed from correct
attitude. To allow this brings
misfortune. Return to the strength of
proper principles.
Venus turns direct on 16th and Jupiter shifts to
gate 34 on the 9th which means he will be conjunct with the sun
toward the end of the month; that could prove a super powerful time-frame as
Mercury will also be there from 27th giving a near exact conjunction
of Sun, Jupiter and Mercury! Neptune finally turns direct on 25th
but it will be some time before he shifts from his long time occupation of 63
(doubts).
As gate 34 is highlighted this month here’s a mini-dive for
you . . . in the I Ching this is Power,
or Great Power, sometimes The Power of the Great, or Great Strength. In HD it’s a sacral gate which connects to
both 57 in the spleen, 10 in the G centre and 20 in the throat, so there are
many possible connections when it’s active via transit and therefore it can
have multiple effects. The essence of
this energy is about understanding the need for harmony and balance in order
for the power to be wielded positively.
Here we have the potential for great misuse of power that is driven by
the ego but when harnessed from a place of balance can be the greatest cause
for good. Huang recalls that King Wen
gained great strength after a period of retreat (gate 33). However he recognised it was imperative to
remain humble and that such periods could easily lead to people becoming
opinionated and running wild. A show of
strength to conquer would not assure success, one should come from a place of
righteousness and act according to the Golden Mean, do not overdo.
The moon – the new moon occurs on the 7th at
16:04 in 1.3 setting the scene for the potential focus on masculine energy in
the most yang gate, 1 – the Creative. 3rd
lines are always about experiencing and experimenting.
HB – This is a time of incessant creative activity –
accelerated personal change, or just sheer unrelenting hard work. The Creative Force never rests, so when you
are driven by it, neither do you.
Full moon on 23rd at 05:41 in 20.1. This is the week where the sun will be in 34
(see above). 20 is all about the NOW and
first lines about understanding the foundation, the history, the detail. In a hexagram this position can also be the
innocent immature.
Chetan – 20.1 Simplicity is the key to awareness! A moody oversimplification of life could
cause you to shirk personal responsibility.
And so to the weekly briefs . . .
31st – 5th – we start the month with
Samhain/Halloween and the Sun in 44, where we’ve seen quite a bit of activity
over the last month or two with Mercury and Venus. 44 is about being very aware of what might be
confronting you, about stepping forward clearly but cautiously. The Earth will be in 24, busy rationalising
everything! Mercury is giving us the
first taster of 34 energy, he’ll return here at the end of the month as
well. A week of powerful communication
potential, Mars (War and Work) is in the gate of revolution with Venus (relationships/love/money)
still reviewing her values; definitely a taster for the masculine energies of
the month.
3rd – 44.4 HB – You have yet to connect with the
true nature of the thing (or person); it does not fit into your picture of how
things are; it has not swum into your net.
Perhaps you need to move your nets, draw a new picture; perhaps you
would do better to let this one go: the oracle does not say.
6th – 10th - We now have the Sun
shining from the most yang position, 1, the Creative, and here we have the new
moon on the 7th. The Earth is
opposite in the most yin position, the Receptive, 2. Mercury is now in the gate of focus (9) and
Mars moves to the gate of the clinging fire (30) at the new moon. With Jupiter still in 14 and the gate of
prosperity and harvest this could be a potent week to really get moving towards
new goals especially as Venus will shift to the gate of persevering giving you
that staying power. Stay focussed and
you will set yourself up to successfully ride the next few weeks of powerful
energies.
For Mercury on the 7th - 9.3 – Chetan – Being distracted
you can lose your focus for relevant details, or end up fixating over trivia.
11th – 16th- Here is the first of the
two channels formed by the Sun and Earth positions – 43 – 23, Sun’s energy is
all about insights and the Earth is allowing things to fall away, the whole
channel can lead to some unexpected ideas and new directions provided you can
understand, and/or explain your thinking. The Mars position can fuel the fire
of this innovative energy this week and we now have Jupiter in the gate of
Strength and Power (34 – see above). Venus
turns direct on the 16th so the weeks of introspection come to a
close. Perhaps time to move forward with
relationships. Chiron now focusses on
our hidden lights within after much of the year healing/highlighting our wounded
innocence.
43.5, Sun’s position for the 15th – BBW – If it
is your habit to indulge in what is inferior, break your habit now. Persevere in what is right, accept life, and
you will succeed.
17th – 21st - Sandwiched between the
weeks where we have channels formed we find the Sun in gate 14, another
powerful sacral gate where we’ve had Jupiter for the last month or so. The Earth is moving us to unite, within
ourselves and with others. Mercury turns
retrograde so we begin a few weeks of reviewing communications again just at
the Great Attractor (see above) – be aware of needing to focus on one path and
not being distracted, take decisions considering all aspects. Mars enters the gate of Abundance, a good
combination with the Sun in 14 and Jupiter is working through that powerful 34
energy. Make hay! 19th is a day of many 3rd
lines . . . for the Sun in 14.3
Chetan – Sacrificing:
Offering your talents and resources for the good of all.
22nd – 27th - Buckle up tight the
34-20 is in town! This is the instant
reaction channel, the busy, busy, busy energy and we have a full moon as well
and a Mercury, Jupiter, Sun conjunction on the 27th in 34.6 (Jupiter
is slightly off but conjunct in terms of astrology).
BBW – 34.6 – The obstinate use of power entangles you
further instead of freeing you from difficulty.
If you notice this and correct yourself, all will be well.
Venus will be back in the gate of values and what is working
for the Tribe. With Jupiter’s expansive
energy activating with the Sun and Mercury some caution will be required to
ride this energetic wave lightly to avoid finding yourself crashing into others’
boundaries.
28th – 30th - You made it to the end
of a powerful month! Now we have the Sun
allowing us to focus (9) and the Earth filling us with enthusiasm (16) – a time
for settling into really getting on with projects. Mars will be in 37 so perhaps a time for
involving community in your plans or being involved in the community with
theirs!
That seems quite a month to me, will be interesting to see
how it plays out. Seek the positive
masculine both in others and within yourself.
It’s time to find the balance of yin and yang so we can move forward
constructively.
Having brooded over the transits I then sat down with my
Runes to draw one for the month and it is . . .
Dagaz!
This Rune is the second to last in the Runic alphabet. The meaning is all about shining the light
of day, the cycle of day and night. It
can also be understood as one of the gifts of mastery we bring back from our
hero’s journey. This feels very
appropriate to me after the year we’ve had of trawling the murky depths!
