The opportunity to break through - September

Hello!

Before we complete August we have a second new moon - I have to say that slipped my notice when I did the transits for August last month.  So I'll begin there.

30th August - New Moon in 40.2 along with the Sun.  Also astrologically conjunct (in the same place - near enough) will be both Mars and Venus, they've been in and around conjunction for the last week.  What does this all mean though ... 

Well, from what I've observed, just tuning in here and there, some fiery emotions are in play; I've overheard more than a few cross words between partners over the garden fence (so to speak).  The heatwave hasn't helped matters either!  These planets have been moving together through 59 of course, the masculine principle, the thrusting energy of seeking (sex and war).

Now we will have 40 which is about the relief from the pressure, alleviation as Huang puts it.  It's hexagram is formed from the trigrams Thunder over Rain and that rather neatly encapsulates the release aspect.  There will be dark storms but the relief is at hand.  Timing with these things is everything of course and Huang notes that one should take note of your current situation to know whether to move, or to stay put. 

This is about resting and recuperating following the trials and is why 40 is often thought of as solitude.  With Mars and Venus also in this energy it's time perhaps to set differences aside, take some time alone and reset your intentions, especially as Mercury is now in 59, so any form of communication has the potential to become heated.

Chetan - 40.2 Being Conclusive:  Moving beyond potentially limiting life qualities.

He has a line for both the moon and sun for this position so I shall give you both!

Sun: You have the natural willingness to be true to yourself, regardless of distractions.
Moon: Your sensitivity makes it hard to avoid the situations that hamper your very freedom.

Arnica is also in 40 so perhaps giving some salve to the bruised and battered of recent times as you retreat.

This is the theme through till 3rd of September, all the while Earth is sitting in 37, the gate of friendship and community and of course is forming a Human Design channel with the Sun's position, so we'll all have access to will-powered emotions around anything and everything community and tribal.

Before I run through week by week there are quite a few general shifts to note.

Pluto heads back to 54 on the 11th where we've had both Saturn and the nodes at work in recent months.  Clearly we all still need to look at who and how we use our networks for our advancement, is it aligned with our true self?  Does it serve us, others. 

There's a nodal shift on 16th from 53/54 into a new set of energies, North Node to 39 (provocation) and South Node to 38 (the fighter).  Here we have the collective moving away from the fighter energy and into that of hardship and provocation ... that doesn't actually sound like a bundle of laughs I'm afraid.  One interpretation may be that we have fought many battles and now we see more clearly where we want to focus and find a way through the obstacles we've been encountering.  This is the hardship, but if we take up the challenge we can make big breakthroughs.  This is about capturing the energy of liberation.   

Jupiter moves from 5 (rhythm/timing) back to 26 (trickster) for another round of expanding our sales potential, or spotting the bull-shitter!  The same day, 22nd, Neptune shifts back from 22 (grace) to 63 for another bout of inner truth-seeking.  That Neptune shift could well rake up whatever you were working with over the new year and into March when he was last in 63.  It won't be till next year that we move on from Neptune in this position so a season ahead of being prompted to look within, what really is truth for you?

On 23rd 07:52 GMT we have Equinox and another Sabbat, this is the second harvest Sabbat of the cycle, Mabon, a time of balance and an opportunity to begin your annual review, setting aside the seeds for the new planting, looking at what has been and looking ahead to what will become.  This period traditionally lasts through until Samhain (31st October/1st November) which is the final harvest and thought by some to be the beginning of the new cycle/Pagan new year.  The rune that speaks here is Jera, soul-hearth accounting.

The Moon will be full the week before on 14th at 04:35 in 22.5 conjunct with Neptune, so this 'should' have a graceful and ethereal feel!  I say 'should' ... it's amidst some mighty energies; that day Mercury and Venus are just approaching the Super Galactic Centre at 46.4.  This is about the insatiable hunger for soulmates, the draw to true connection.   The sun will be in 47, all things oppressive and will have Mars there for company ... not an easy set of energies and I notice that Bacchus will be there too. Given this is a 5th line position for this alignment be very aware of projections, your own and others, things may well not be what you think, or wish them to be.  Be cautious, Bacchus could easily lead you astray with his proclivity for mischief merry-making.

22.5 Withdraw from the desires of your ego for luxury and recognition.  Sincerity and simplicity are inevitably rewarded by the Sage.  BBW

The 46.4 SGC energy is echoed again 10 days later when the Sun will make it's annual pass of this point.  At the moment we have a series of planets in close contact with one another which is resulting in focused attention in particular energies and often a sequence of weeks where the same energy is being highlighted by one planet after another.  This is quite peculiar to our times, we certainly seem to be having more and more conjunctions amplifying everything which might explain much of what you can observe going on in the world.  We are certainly moving through a time of extremes.

The New Moon this month will be at 18:29 on 28th in 18.2 the gate of correcting that which is corrupt - it's often linked to family/ancestral patterns.  A chance to set your intention to root out that which no longer serves.  Try to capture Mercury's position bringing perseverance and Venus' intuition, a chance to really look deeply into where you need to work next.

As you will already have seen above there is a lot going on for September, some big outer planets move, nodes shift and some multi-planet hits of relatively few gates.  Here is my best shot at the weeks to come.

4th - 9th - head/crown gates!  So a mental focus, Sun in 64 (confusion) and Earth in 63 (inner truth). Mercury conjunct the Sun so a focus on communication issues, the 'confusion' label comes from this being the moment of diverse possibilities, the possibility for overwhelm but the Earth holds us to inner truth. 

4th - 64.1 - There is a temptation to try to make rapid progress.  An unbalanced enthusiasm only leads to failure and humiliation.  Innocent non-action is advised at this time. BBW

Venus shifts to 47 this week which will herald a whole month of this energy being triggered by one planet after another and a whole week of the Sun's attention for the Full Moon.  Although labelled Oppression it is also that mental exhaustion we can feel just before the aha moment ... so here, stay with the pressure, don't let the urge to make rapid progress push you before you are ready.  Hold to what is true for you.

9th - 15th - the Sun in aforementioned 47 and the Earth holding us grounded in 22 (grace).  Here we have the Full Moon, see above, note the activity over the Super Galactic Centre.   We also have Pluto moving back into 54.6 for another run through the upgrade, this time retrograde, so a review period.

54.6 - Being Politically Correct:  Watchful of your purpose and sincerity
Energising those interactions that are essential, or just being seen to 'do the right thing'.  Chetan.

16th - 21st - The nodes shift into the new energies, see above.  Whilst the Sun moves to 6 (conflict/resolution) and the Earth sits in (crisis/resolution).   But we have some correction energy coming in with Mercury and Venus in 18 whilst Mars continues that 47 theme started earlier in the month.

Interesting that the North Node is now pushing us toward provocation just as the Sun moves to conflict in 6.  I think this is the week for really having that 47 aha moment I spoke about above.  There is momentum to resolve the crisis, to break through the oppression and the energy of 18 is all about making the corrections necessary to find the joy of accomplishment and mastery (the energy of 58).

This could be the perfect week for really setting the stage for where your path will take you next, or perhaps, seeing where you want your path to lead.  Perfect timing for the Sabbat due in a few days.

If you can step back and take in the bigger picture there are always energies there to help us as well as challenge us, we just have to open our eyes.

16th - Earth's position 36.1 Enduring: Reflecting inwards when challenged by outer circumstances.  Accepting or ignoring your feelings and holding true to yourself or not in critical times.  Chetan.

22nd - 26th - The Sun makes its pass of the SGC, see above, gate 46, the Earth is sitting holding the innocence in 25.  Equinox this week, see above.  A week for deep intuitive communication with Mercury in 57 and Venus in 48, the well.  A wonderful opportunity to continue the work of the week before.

24th - Mercury's position 57.3 - Being Aware:  Sensitive vibrational attunement.  You have the ability to attune to and relate your perceptions of life from a pure intuition.  Chetan

26th - end of the month ... Sun picks up the correction energy of 18 and gives you the focus to carry forward all that needs changing and Mercury is providing some much needed persistence.  The Earth is in 17 the gate that gives the energy to see clearly and form opinions provided you remain open-minded and avoid being opinionated.  Don't forget these positions will trigger Chiron also in 17, see my recent post Chiron Revisited.

We have the new moon, see above, and Venus now carrying the intuitive energy of 57.

And all the while this month Uranus has stuck stubbornly in 27, but on 29th now shifts one line, so the focus is now being brought to a nurturing community.

27.4 - By nourishing yourself properly you gain stature and others are drawn to assist you.  In this there is a good fortune. BBW

As for our Norse Gods we have Frigga in 21 this month perhaps giving us control over our mothering, and Odin is in 43 which is where insights live.  Tyr is really helping to support us with our truth-seeking as he stands in the creative yang energy of 1. 

And so to my favourite part ... to light my candles and tread the path that many have followed for 1,000s of years and ask for Runic wisdom.  Be right back ...

And it is Teiwaz, Tyr's rune, of truth and justice and the sacrifice for the greater good.  He was the God who sacrificed his right hand to restrain the wolf Fenrir to stave off the end of times.  Seems wholly appropriate for the energies we face this month.  He is very much a symbol of the Warrior of Truth and Justice.

The runic half months are August 29 - 13 September Raidho, the journey, and 13 - 28 September Kenaz, the hidden light, the aha flash of inspiration from deep within, this so beautifully fits with the energies I'm seeing for the second half of the month it gives me goose-bumps!
